bonjour november

bonjour beloved fresh start of the month. today i felt lighter. truly. almost a bit giddy. it was hard to get grounded during my 13-hour stint at the studio as i fluttered between meetings, writing my monthly muse, phone calls, scheduling, idea sharing, rescheduling, teaching, and practicing yoga. despite the struggle to get grounded, i felt surprisingly optimistic about all that lies ahead.

we're turning the corner after a super duper harried start to fall including 5 conferences since labor day, and moving into the "hollydaze" - a truly delightful time of year. i see things falling into place in a way that feels good and i'm ready to tie a big, beautiful bow around 2011. one of the ways i hope to do this is through participating art every day month

the concept creator, leah piken kolidas, explains that "art is also loosely defined here. i mean art in the sense of anything creative, whether that be painting, drawing, knitting, sewing, cooking, decorating, writing, photography, clay, jewelry-making or whatever!" will you join moi?

oh, and saturday i'm hosting my third art journaling playshop at tranquil space in dc, come out and bask in a 3-hour artist date. my ongoing goal is to sprinkle more and more mOMents of art into every single day. et toi? a daily dose of creative play is sure to do our spirit good as we transition into our final two months of this yummy year.

what's on the wishlist for you this month? i feel that it's going to be a good one! bisous. x

I just might join you in the Art everyday.. In fact I think I shall! This month I am trying to be gentle with myself with all the changes and shifts going on in my life and heart, celebrating 16 years of marriage (whoa it goes by fast), goals check in, finance stuff and health stuff taken care of and in motion, catch up on a few creative projects and self publish 2 prompted journals, and be thankful for all that is blessing me in my life.

I like the idea of having a list of November Dreams, as opposed to a short list of goals (which is what I do). I always feel guilty if I don't make a goal, so dreams are a good alternative!
