question

i've come across this question a lot lately in my after hours reading and in chats with friends - what would you do if you knew you would not fail?

i am off to the dog park with louis (who has been a complete menace while beau was out of town) to journal, sip some blueberry green tea, and contemplate this question before diving into my day. as i try to vary my routine a bit by taking this morning time to do things differently, i hope you, too, can carve out a little space to do the same and reflect on this question. share your answers if you're so inclined. happy reflecting!

If I weren't afraid, I would start a rock band and quit my day job!!

What would I do if I knew I couldn't fail? Run an ultramarathon. Start a spay/neuter clinic in my area. Work as an environmental public interest lawyer.

Thanks, Kimberly. I've posted this question on my bathroom mirror!

I don't really know whether I would do other things than those I do. I think the most crucial difference would be a change in the way I would do them - maybe more from the heart as all the "what ifs" that are thrown in by the mind would be absent. I think it would also bring back more of a child-like innocence into one's life...

I know I'm a little late for this one but I figure I'd post anyway.

If I new I could not fail I'd quit my job and open up the coffee shop I've always wanted to own.
