Bonjour from Brooklyn:
Yesterday's personal essay writing class at Gotham was topped off with a steamed kale, spicy tempeh, and rosebud tea at Jivamukti cafe over banter with friend, Kristin Leal. Considering the day began with a 3:50am alarm for my 5am bus ride to New York City, I hung in there. It's the energy of the city that fuels me during these sprints.
Today I'm off to Blogacademy where I'll get to see a friend from Montreal, Vanessa Moore. Always on the prowl to learn, deepen, and grow, when I found out this 2-day workshop was happening the day after my writing workshop, I decided to stay and make a weekend of it. Stay tuned for insights shared here and eye candy on Instagram.
Before I start my 20-minute walk to class in wedges (which may take more like 40 minutes), I wanted to share that there is one spot left in June's Penning in Paris retreat. Clearly math is not my forte as I miscounted and announced yesterday on our Facebook page that the retreat was full. To clarify, we have nine registrations and there is ONE SPOT LEFT!
Heh, math. It always did make me cringe.
Thus, if you're interested in galavanting through the City of Light with me and an intimate group of ladies next spring to focus on a writing project, the writing craft, or simply beginning to observe life through the lens of pen and paper, grab your spot.
Or consider joining moi and Mary Catherine Starr in Costa Rica or Tuscany for Art + Asana adventures.
Oh, and I'm often asked about my favorite things to do in Paris so I spent a few hours this week adding them to my Start Here page (scroll down to the bottom). May they fuel a creative experience or dream of this city that beckons so many.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend filled with macarons, rose tea, and love. Bisous. x
