creative giveaway

ephemera packet stuffed full of art journaling + creative goodies

it's been a bit since i did a giveaway and it feels like this holiday weekend is the perfect time.

while reading in bed all morning with my journal and teal marker in hand, i listed many dreams and ideas that needed focus. i'll save the deeper focus for another time, i must prep for yin yoga and my train ride to west virginia after all. read: procrastination.

two things that continue to come up for me is a desire to create:

1. an on-demand e-course that you can start at anytime
2. an e-book with watercolor illustrations and an mp3 of me reading the book included

challenge: getting started. always, right?

in the artist's way every day (a perf gift from mama wilson), julia cameron reminds us "we've all heard that the unexamined life is not worth living, but consider too that the unlived life is not worth examining. the success of creative recovery hinges on our ability to move out of the head and into action." wow! great kick in the pants for us creative dreamers.

so, in my desire to stop writing the above items as weekly, monthly goals and take action, i thought YOU would be the best to give feedback on the above action items.

to enter the giveaway for the ephemera packet stuffed full of art journaling and creative goodies, please respond in the comment section by wednesday, june 1 with:

1. what you'd like to see as my third e-course (accessible at anytime = new format, super helpful if previous e-course participants) AND

2. what you'd like to see addressed in an e-book (going deeper on topics from hip tranquil chick and/or tranquilista, one topic in particular, new focus i've missed before? super helpful if book readers).

one lucky winner will be chosen randomly and announced on wednesday. plans for the e-course and e-book will be announced this summer.

merci beaucoup for being an ongoing part of my journey. i'm honored. and extremely grateful.

bisous. x

kimberly! you are such an inspiration and a blessing to have in this world. I adore both of your books and love love love your Get Your Yoga On and Tranquility to Go yoga programs. I would love to see more yoga! I'm in Texas and I know I can't attend any live classes, so that is my vote :-) more yoga! Maybe you could create an ecourse or online class based around that idea. Thank you for all you do!

Hi Kimberly,
So excited for new material coming up! Here are some ideas that came to mind.

-Branding- How you created your brand? Steps? Ideas?

-Business Ideas: How you became an entrepreneur? How to go about creating a blog? You & I took the same blogging course but for me it was too advanced (about photography etc.) something basic like how you got started, how to brainstorm topics to discuss. How to go about creating a podcast? An IPhone App? You have so much business ideas that you could mentor many people like me that are getting started.

-How you started your own clothing line?

-Beginners Yoga- How can someone who’s never done it get started?

-Healthy Living- Your green drinks, how you stay looking so good, beauty routines.

There are so many topics you could write about. I Love the entrepreneur side of you because you’ve done so much & can truly teach us all how to be more successful.

Looking forward to anything you have to offer, always top quality & extremely helpful.

Xoxo,
Lizi Life Coach

Hi Kimbery,
I have both of your books - LOVE them! I would be interested in finding yoru inspritation to start an new endevour, weathering the rough starts and stops and restarts. I love the calming influence of Yoga and how you have maaged to enfuse them into your writings as well as your day to day life. Look for more inspiration on how I can do that as well.

You know what I'd really like to see, no matter what format you use? Obviously, you're a master at planning, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see how you plan, how you really use your Planner Pad to your max advantage, and any tips, hints tricks etc.
Sort of on the line of all the "How I Use My Filofax" blog posts. (If you haven't seen these, check out Philofaxy)
Thanks! xx

Love that you are always dreaming, and really love that you are always doing!

I have both of your books love them, HTC on my list of very faves, just read it this month!

I have a few ideas, they could work for either format depending on how detailed you want to get.

Something that has been on my mind.
-Creative Spiritual Practice, I have created a list but any more inspiration and wisdom around it would be amazing.

-Steps from Dreaming to Doing
-Art journal/visual journal workshop combined with dreaming, goals etc..

Thanks for the steady stream of inspiration! You are living your advice and it shows!

I am so excited to hear your doing even more! I love tranquilista very much and I am totally addicted to your blog!

So here are some of my ideas....

I would like to know more about running an ethical buisness ( I am a small craft buisness owner and try to be green but would love to have more advice and how I can take a mindful approach to customer care)

I would also Love to hear about how you became a yoga instructor and more yoga in general I want to train to be a yoga teacher one day and I would be really interested to know what type of yoga is your favourite and how to start down that path.

Thank you for all your inspiration so far and long may your creative, giving soul keep helping others with your wonderful ideas!

I have read your books and love them. I have often heard you refer to your planning session with your art journal. I have searched for posts to see if you show how you do it. I think it's a wonderful blend of Tranquility and planning. I can imagine a course with how to set goals for bizniz, life etc using your art journal.

From the other comments I think we absolutely love your bizniz savvyness.

So maybe something that infuses Hip Tranquil chick practices with goal setting for all of life/art journaling as a playbook/and other goodies.

I am at the beginning of building my mentoring bizniz and I love the way you blend art/yoga/planning. It is inspiring. I also love that in your books there are yoga practices, right now I can't afford a yoga class and the flow you have laid out in your book is easy to read and understand. Thanks.

Sending you creative love....

Hi Kimberly!

I took your tranquilista life style course. The course was great, however as an aspiring entrepreneur, an ecourse that focused specifically on business would be so, so, helpful. With the tranquilista course, we got a taste of everything, decluttering, signature style, building our own creative space, networking, and starting a business. Building a business a huge endeavor that requires a lot of time and energy. I think it would be helpful to have an ecourse that goes a little deeper into business.

In terms of books, hands down expand on Hip Tranquil Chick. For years this book was my bible. I would come back to it on a weekly basis for suggestions. If it wasn't for that book, I probably wouldn't be where I am today. I would love to see more!

Hey Kimberly!

I love listening to your podcasts on my daily walks! And your books give me regular inspiration. This is what I'm interested in:

1. E-course: Your take on writing a blog or more on self-care

2. E-book: The power of risk taking and setting goals or how to use business principles in everyday life (for those of us who don't have their own business - I'm a teacher!)

Thanks for sharing your gifts with others to help others grow!

Love,

Kimberly R.

1: e-course- Business planning 101- this would actually easily become an e-course series, addressing 1) planning and starting a new business, 2) expanding your business (this in and of itself could be 2- expanding in current market and branching out), 3) maintaining your passion for your business/how not to burn out.

2: book: I'd love a book about moonlighting- I'm sure I am not then only one of your fans who can't leave a day job (for me, it's about health insurance, but there could be all kinds of reasons) and there are a bazillion resources for people to leave their jobs, but not much to help you successfully keep a side business and be satisfied keeping it on the side.

Thanks!

kimberly,

I'm so inspired by your books, podcasts, blog, and am currently taking your tranquilista e-course.

i'd like you to specifically address how to become a yoga instructor. what to look for in selecting teacher training, how to brand, market and promote myself as an instructor, what to expect when entering this field, tips and insights you have as you have worked in this industry so long.

i'd also like you to dive deeper into self-care ideas: eating, exercising, skin care, etc.

so excited knowing that we all have something new from you coming our way!

Hi!

For the class, I would love to see one on yoga and art journaling; I have really enjoyed reading about it and don't really have experience with it and it would be really fun to learn and discuss with others!

For the book(s) I would love to see some work on loving one's body; I have chronic illness and am not built slender, so I'd love to see your ideas on working with that.
I would also love to focus on creativity-I love reading your work on that and have read a good deal on creativity, but yours is really a take I have not seen before and would love to see more!

Thank you!

Hello- lots of great ideas so far.

I really like the self-care topic-
and the planner pad/visual journaling topics that were mentioned by Rori...

So excited about your future projects...

E-course:- some-thing around making changes via small steps (that could be linked to yoga, business, home life, health) but with specific goals that could be applied to each area (depending on the person) each week. As always infused with tranquility and glitter!

E-book:- would love a build on Hip Tranquil Chick with a practical focus on health, food, girlie beauty, exercise, searching out vintage, travel, planning, busting procrastination, balancing and juggling elements of life, how to draw inspiration from sources (books, film, photos, on-line). Love a girlie vibe (a lot of these topics are covered elsewhere in a rather dry manner) but I would prefer a sparkly, girlie version!

Can't wait for the release of both. As always you are such a huge inspiration...

1. I haven't done an e-course, but I'd like more on creativity -- in artistic expression, health, and mindful living.

2. For an e-book, an expansion on creativity in business and inspiration for women starting and running growing small businesses.

Hi Kimberly,

I would love to see more on creative entrepreneurship in both an e-course and a book. I enjoyed the business plan we put together for Tranquilista Lifestyle but the next steps would be really useful. Or how to really make the jump from employed to creatively employed.

I particularly like the idea of being able to start the e-course when you want instead of a set time. But the interaction with other course participants was very helpful as they provided input that I may not have thought about.

I would love an e-course on staying present in the internet age. Cell phones made it challenging enough, but now we have twitter, facebook, etc.

For a book - Something with 366 lovely thoughts for a whole year (even a leap year!) of Kimberly Wilson musings.

Kate :)

Hi Kimberly-
I love your ideas! I think that Hip Tranquil Chick was what brought you into my orbit, and I quickly got hooked on the blogs and podcasts as well. I think that living your life in ways that matter discussions is what got my session of your e-course buzzing. That can be simple ways - bringing what inspires us into our lives, planner pads, decluttering, style etc. I LOVE your upcycling DIY's - those are things we can all do. But living a life that matters also delves into deeper issues such as going beyond lip service and an annual donation to a cause you believe in. You have great ideas for that! I'm not going to be starting a business anytime soon, but these other topics are so motivating for me. It would make me feel as if I were at some of your workshops, since I can't get to DC. Anything you do has a special touch - best of luck!

Kimberly,

Practically bursting with excitement at the prospect of new material from your good self! I have already both books, CDs and iPhone app and can honestly say my life has been transformed since discovering HTC and Tranqiulista! I have much more fun now;-)

Things I would like to see:
1) how to incorporate yoga if you are very unfit and 'chubby' as it can be a little intimidating.
2) I am currently setting up my own enterprise and have touched on blogging but am paralyzed with fear of 'being boring' and not sounding authentic so a bit on 'finding your voice and getting past the fear! I was interested on one of your early poscasts you stated you weren't very good at small talk! I can't imagine that, so you must have some fab ways of dealing with what can feel unnatural.
3) it would be great if you could feature some uk based tranquilista's on your podcast, it's great to be able to connect virtually but it would also be great to be able to go to workshops etc. Maybe one day it could be me!
4) I love the suggestion about animal activism too!

All in all fantastic suggestions all round

Thanks for continuing to be a beacon of inspiration
