signature style: time & money

everything changed the day she realized
there was exactly enough time for
the important things in her life.

hello gorgeous tranquilistas!
i'm so happy you stopped by today for a dose of tranquility. in case we haven't met, i'm here on the 2nd wednesday of each month to share ideas & inspiration on signature style. last month's post focused on podcasts with creative style. this month features two topics that aren't always viewed as tranquil or stylish... time & money.

an open heart, a full wallet
kelly rae roberts recently wrote an inspiring post about inviting abundance into a creative life. her message is simple but true—we are worthy of loving relationships, financial wealth, and everything in between.

another resource for financial inspiration is my pretty pennies, the online chronicles of a girl trying to change her world one pretty penny at a time. the honesty, creativity and personal growth that 'mpp' shares on her blog is as eye-opening and educational as it is entertaining.

consider a change in perspective
when it comes to time, most of us feel like we could use more to pursue our dreams. as kimberly mentioned a few weeks ago, there's a great book out that shares ways to find time in our busy schedules. i recommend reading 168 hours by laura vanderkam if you're looking for a few extra hours each week.

another resource that helps me stay grounded when it comes to time and space is carl sagan's speech on the pale blue dot. check out this video for his words mixed with clips from inspiring movies. it's a surefire way to put life into perspective.

fall back on style
whenever i'm in need of a positive push, i turn to creative aesthetics & style. wearing a smart watch is a kind reminder to focus my time and energy on what's important. carrying a functional & cute bag on my shoulder inspires me to embrace my girl-on-the-go lifestyle. holding my cash & plastic in a chic wallet is subtle suggestion to invite abundance into all areas my life.

I'm so pleased to see that you liked the Brian Andreas quote I shared with you yesterday!

Great post, by the way. When you think about it, time *is* money in the sense that we can use it to create value/abundance in our lives (or misuse it in myriad ways). Thanks for the wonderful tips, as always. xo
