louis' baby shower

we had some friends over last night, including a couple who are "with child." apparently, louis thought the celebration was for him and sat in her seat of honor (note the loot at her plate).

the soiree was an intimate gathering for a dear girlfriend (who you've heard in a former podcast on hip tranquil business) who is due in june. the blue packages were "baby boy" melt in your mouth mints, and the yummy carnation hearts had all sorts of fun baby sayings. we filled up on these before our salads hit the table. yum!

decorating the table in this way was such fun and added a lovely touch to the evening.
