creativity cravings

last sunday's creative play with beading was such fun. i've worn the rose quartz necklace with a carved flower pendant made from shell almost every day since i made it. creating something like this is so empowering. learning to do something that we admire removes a bit of mystery and allows us to partake in creating our own play on what's currently out there. that is why i find it empowering - be it beading, sewing, cooking, teaching yoga, decorating, designing, etc. i've decided to add beading to my repertoire: big, chunky, playful necklaces in stones, shapes, and lengths that i love. this new craft will be sure to fulfill my creativity cravings for awhile to come. anyone else a beader? if so, please share your favorite online resources for locating beads, design inspiration, and more. happy beading!

Check these beads out:

This lovely lady is a classmate from high school and her pieces are BEAUTIFUL! She makes all of the glass lamp-work beads herself, and has a lot of other beading links on her website.
