when the cat's away, the mice will play

beau is away for a few days (first time in 3 months) and i kept teasing him before he left with the above line. he said, "yeah, and i wish him good luck!" ah, the humor. anyway, i have to say that today was absolutely AMAZING! sure i miss the little booger but the day began very early and included SO much. three important business calls, a meeting, manuscript editing, bedsheet changing, online shopping for new 1000 ct. (yep 1K) egyptian cotton pillowcases (only $19.99 on e-bay), yoga with louis biting at my hair the whole time (not tranquil!), gardening, tea sipping, journal writing, connecting via phone with family and a few friends, organizing, laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, dancing around to madonna, folding clothes, dog walking, and TranquiliT ordering (we're getting NATURAL colored bamboo fabric next week) with our fabulous sewer in ohio! whew! i planned to head into the studio for a class, but decided that my day of very little social interaction was worth its weight in gold so i didn't shower, put on make-up, or get prepped for being "on." i always wondered why my mother glowed when pops went off on trips. now i understand. come on girls, haven't you basked in glorious days of solitude? off to read some anais nin. . .
