hip tranquil chick podcast #15

HTC: January 16, 2006

Intro: Welcome to the 15th edition of the Hip Tranquil Chick podcast: a girl’s guide for living a luxe lifestyle. On location in San Francisco at the Yoga Journal conference.

Today’s podcast is a muse on what is a hip tranquil chick, along with a happy hip opening pose of the podcast, and more festive podsafe music! View the shownotes at hiptranquilchick.blogspot.com.

A hip tranquil chick is:
that girl we aspire to be. She juggles a busy life with grace, makes time for thoughtful gestures, gives of her resources, always has her best face forward, fills her body with nutritious treats, lives her practice, and lights up a room with her presence. She embodies traits we admire in others, and has all of these great attributes rolled into one well-balanced, chic and conscious chick!

Pose of the Podcast: Supta cow face pose

Today’s selection, perfect for your cow face practicing, is Fragile Space by Joy. Hi Kimberly! I just discovered your podcast and since I had no idea what it all about--although the color pink and the girl on the yoga mat caught my attention (love!). So I began with this podcast as my "crash course" into it. Every review on itunes was positive, so my attitude was as such. I must say...I can't believe that I have been living my exsistance as an aspiring hip tranquil chick without even knowing it! I then logged onto the website to get more info, took the cute survey, and I was still in amazement. I suppose that there are perfect times in life to discover the things that will benefit your life at that perfect time! I have since listed to more of your podcasts, and have subscribed to it. I'm so happy that I'm not the only pink-loving/yoga-practicing/lover of all things luxe, beautiful and fabulous/journaler/student of life, etc. My friends always tease me for being such a "girly girl" or "health-nut" or always being "so put together", it sometimes made me feel a little self-conscious--I can't go out and just buy a wardrobe of jeans and tee-shirts! I only want to eat foods that make me feel good and benefit my body! I love fashion, beauty and looking good. My husband and children are proud that I am such a woman. Of course this is sometimes interpreted as being "high maitanance", but now that my desire to be a fabulous, beautiful, healthy, knowledge-chasing, yogini has a title, I can just reply that I am a HIP TRANQUIL CHICK! xoxo~Monique
***Thanks for all the great info and topics! Kudos on the fab music as well!
