mindful monday: farm sanctuary love

all smiles with gene baur, co-founder and president of farm sanctuary

as you may know, farm sanctuary is one of the beneficiaries of tranquility tour. we had a lovely meetup in new york and got to see the sanctuary near los angeles today. and to top it off, we happened to be in town for the LA walk for farm animals which made me *very* happy considering i had to sign up as a "sleep in for farm animals" dc participant this year since we're on the road. below are pictures and vine videos from our farm sanctuary playtime.

curious? learn more about factory farming. consider adopting a farm animal. join farm sanctuary's compassionate communities. be an advocate. start a social group. promote veg eating. try meatless mondays.

check out one of their amazing sanctuaries {or another near you}. explore compassionate food choices. as yogini sharon gannon states, "through the practices of yoga, we discover that concern for the happiness and well being of others, including animals, must be an essential part of our own quest for happiness and well being. the fork can be a powerful weapon of mass destruction or a tool to create peace on earth."

our health, the environment, and the animals deserve better. mindful eating is the new black. bisous. x

Thank you for such a beautiful post, Kimberly! Is it just me or does that beautiful pig in the last photo look like he/she is smiling while you are giving a belly rub?

It was such a treat to have been able to attend the LA Pop-Up and then the sanctuary tour and tea. Thank you for everything.
