mindful monday

during sunday's "mindfulness: tranquility within" workshop at tranquil space (savvy sources list shared on our facebook page), a participant raved about the "this is water" speech by david foster wallace. it felt like the absolutely perfect piece for our mindful monday reflection. please enjoy the video and transcript.

join us on the mindfulness movement via the e-course at anytime. it's chock-full of videos, podcasts, and inspiration for living life in an inspiring, meaningful way.

may we be fully awake in this world. this is water. bisous. x

That was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. I hate to be a downer but I couldn't stop thinking as I watched this how tragic it was that he knew all this, and yet still, he killed himself. It can be a real uphill battle for many many people to make choices about seeing the world in a more positive light. But it's a fight worth fighting and we can and should cheer each other on. It doesn't mean ignoring tragedy or "truth with a capital T" as he puts it, it just means also seeing the beauty and goodness all around us. I wish he could have remembered that.
