Your mom has the best accent!
Would love to see more to do with yoga on TDJ :-)
Bonjour Kimberly! I love being a part of your class, listening to your podcasts, reading your books, and watching your videos.
My suggestion for TDJ would be to continue giving suggestions and prompts for living a creative life. This can include yoga and healthy living, spirituality, do-gooding, crafting, journaling, reading....etc..
I cannot find fault in anything you do. You live an inspiring life and yes, your momma's accent is darling. I'm originally from Kansas, six miles from the Oklahoma border so her voice reminds me of home!
Thanks again for all that you do!
Thanks so much for this video! I live in the mid-west and we are supposed to be getting a huge storm this week which will mean snow days for me. You've inspired me to do some art journaling on my days off!
One request I have for your podcast is interviewing someone on living their creativity while also working a tranditional 9-5 job. Many of us do work in a more traditional 40 hour work week schedule, but we also want to be living our creativity!
Thanks!

Hi Kimberly,
I look forward to all of your posts to Tranquility du jour. I would love to see more information on starting your own business.
Kimberly, I've been following you for a while through your blog, podcasts, books, and TDJTV channel. Watching this episode has made me want to dust off my old art journal and dig in. Would love to see you do more on artists dates! Thanks for sharing! Cherie
Kimberly,
I love TDJ TV! I would love to watch a 'day in the life' film of Ms. Kimberly Wilson. From sun up to sun down. Because I'm curious and completely enamored by all things Kimberly!
<3
i'm loving the vlog posts!!! i really love the direction you have been taking TDJ (ie, more posting from YOU, stuff you love, how tos, etc.) keep sparkling! it's shimmering through onto the blog! <3
I deleted my first comment because I forgot the most important part... to make a suggestion for Tranquility Du Jour!
I just had a baby about 2.5 months ago, and I would love to hear from an interviewee or even yourself about how to get children involved with yoga from an early age. My stepdaughter loves to do yoga with me, she's 6, but how could I get them interested when they're really young?
Keep the good stuff coming, I love the blog, tv episodes, and podcast! :)
I love you insights so much! My idea for TDJ is more insight into how you cultivate your relationships (romantic, friendship, familial). I know that the thing I am most "un-tranquil" about is relationships, especially romantic ones, so I would love some insight into how you keep and make, your relationships special and tranquil day to day. Thanks so much!
Kassie
ooh- fun!!
My idea would be to have DIY videos or posts..

I so much enjoy all your information & books! As a studio owner, we are doing a creative journaling workshop! Thank you so much for your inspiration!
Before I journal, I enjoy a beautiful breath and mantra of "it's Ok just as I am" & "just have fun" It could be "no judgement" :)
I plan on having everyone that comes to the workshop at The Zen Zone-"autograph" each other's journals. Instead of their name, a positive "word"
I hope this will get everyone talking, moving & supporting each other & it will end with Gentle yoga.
Namaste, Ruthann
Kimberly, hello. How sweet that your Mama was able to visit and help with your workshop. Love that!
My suggestion would be that you do another Artist's Way tele-workshop and I'll really go crazy with a suggestion and suggest that maybe someday you will bring a Tranquil Space to the Richmond, Va area. (Got to dream, right?)
Hey Kimberly! I don't really have a comment on TDJ except I think you're doing a wonderful job. My comment is on art journaling and how the beauty of it is that there are no rules. Anything goes! Anything can be used as ephemera. Your journal becomes a unique expression of yourself.
thank you for the mention in the previous post! I have enjoyed looking at your blog.
bon jour!
Kelley
You and your mama are adorable. :)
I would just suggest giving even more tiny baby steps for art journaling newbies like me. Like--what kind of books do you use and where do you get them? Thanks!
Bonsoir Kimberly! I must join the "love your momma's accent" fan club AND must say, her hair is gorgeous! It's no secret where you get your elegance from. No, I am not sucking up...just is.
When I watch your videos, I always feel relaxed--as if I am joining you for a cup of tea or glass of wine in front of the crackling fire, chatting about all things creative and happy. To mix things up a bit you could replace the chitchat with a guided 5ish minute meditation or visualization...after which we'd art journal, etc on our own to capture what came up thru your prompts. Maybe you could do a petal (taken from your teleclasses) a day for seven days so at the end of the week we'd have a bouquet. Scentsational!
Thanks for who you are + all you do.
oh my, your mama is too cute!! :) i have to agree with some of the others, i'd love to see you do more with yoga & meditation on tdjtv. hugs & namaste!!
You and you mama are too cute! I call my mom mama too btw. I'm a native Kentuckian and my mom now lives in NY and know she is comforted by my accent and the name I chose to call her. As for a recommendation I would LOVE to see you chat on a podcast with Denise Andrade (Boho Girl blog), Hiro Boga, Danielle LaPorte, Gala Darling, and Kris Carr. Infinite love and gratitude for being such an inspiration!
Namaste,
Ashley
Hi Kimberly! I too am fascinated by all your goings on and your blog/podcast. You are a great inspriation and always put a smile on my face. As a veggie and yogi I love when you discuss vegetarianism/animal welfare and of course would love to see more yoga content on the blog. Topics such as spirituality and the yoga way of life are always of interest. Thanks for all you do!
Bonjour!! I would say a brief meditation practice daily really keeps me tranquil.
Hi, Kimberly! I`m from Serbia. Your blog is great inspiration for me. I have your books and just start my art journal. Thanks!
Kimberly, where do you get your hats? Love them, love love love. Also I was wondering if you could do a blog or podcast about making your own accessories? (Hair, Jewlery, Belts) I made a scarf on my blog after I listened to your podcast on Parisian style. I am inspired, but I would like to be able to make some stuff so that it truly has my signature style. What to do? Many Thanks!
Kimberly--
I have been a blog fan since the beginning. You are such an inspiration. I've noticed a focus lately on your own journey, with lots of practical, doable, helpful tips along the way. I love it and would like more of that - the video snippets of art journaling, style tips, quick smoothie recipes, things you love. It gives everything such a personal feel that people can relate to. I am still at the beginner yoga stage, and have recently become a stay at home mom to two little ones, but I still want to have style and have flair in the small ways I can. I think you said you read Alexandra Stoddard, and I always loved her "Grace Notes" at the end of her chapters. So I eagerly look forward to your advice - those small steps I can take while life is crazy right now, toward "living yoga off the mat". I guess what I like best is seeing the glimpses into your life and how you do it. Thanks a bunch for sharing so much! You always inspire and my daily visit to your blog never fails to cheer me up.
Just found your blog and site mentioned by iHanna. She mentioned you as one podcast she likes. Still exploring your site and all your podcasts and vids:) This was an interesting video that caught my attention!
Bon Jour! First and foremost your Mom is fabulous and totally adorable!I infuse my life with tranquility with simple luxuries sometimes done solo- walks by the water, trips to B&N to catch up with magazines and a cup of tea. I would love and adore guided meditation and short yoga classes on your Tranquility TV! Merci for all of your inspiration!! Bonne Nuit! xoxo
Hi Kimberly. I have been listening to your podcast since my first year in college. I'm graduating this spring and still a fan. You are very inspirational to me. I love how you do your own thing and are such an individual. I hope you continue doing these podcasts for a really long time!
I'd like to see more videos that are like your favorite things post. Maybe even a what's in my makeup bag/what's in my purse type thing. Or even if you just posted on your favorite books and read some from them. I always like hearing about new things to read, watch and wear so I think more of that sort of thing would be great!
Namaste.
I recently started art journaling, and I love the process. For my TDJ tip... I keep a small notebook, a hot pink moleskin, in my bag. I jot down thoughts, ideas, phone numbers, whatever. I created a pocket in the front with a piece of cardstock so that I can stash potential supplies for my art journal. It's perfect for ticket stubs, receipts, slips of paper, a leaf found on the sidewalk, whatever.
Kimberly, I loved the art journal video with Mama Wilson (so beautiful) :) I have been art journaling for years now, but you have given me new and fresh idea's of things to try, so thank you so much for that. You are always such an inspiration for me and I take away so many great ideas that I can apply to my every day life!
I would love to see more craft idea's and how to apply yoga in every day life on the blog. I sometimes struggle with the how to deal with certain situations and would really like to see or hear about how other's deal with every day things from a yogic perspective!
As always, it was great to see your video and I always look here a few times a day to see when you have updated...your blog is the high light of my day! :) Thanks so much!
oh, I forgot to add something...
Do you think that at some point in the future, you will be doing an actual dvd of your yoga practice? I know that you have many cd's and I love them all, but some poses would be nice to see how to do and since I have to always do my yoga practice at home, a dvd would be really wonderful for someone like me. :)
Love, love, love everything you do! You inspire me!
One idea I have is to do more with natural skin care...I just read the book Return to Beautiful Skin by Myra Michelle Eby...very insightful and inspiring...maybe an interview with her?
Thank for all you do!
Hi Kimberly!
Love this adorable video of you and Mama Wilson :-) I really enjoy the videos you post and keeping up with your blog! I think it is a great mix of gorgeous photos, peeks inside your life, information on all things tranquil, and inspirational/creative resources. I would be interested in more posts about entrepreneurship a la Tranquilista!
Namaste,
Mindy
I believe the mother/daughter team is a hit!! Great job to you both... I loved the banter and actually learned a lot from your mother's takeaways and journal.
My idea for Tranquility du Jour is to try an online book club. Something light and fun, nothing intense or complicated. Or having said that, how about a Tranquility du Jour message board, so your online community can connect with each other. I thought I remember you having this some time back, but one where your fans could post interesting links and whatnots, like the "Word of the Year" handout, etc.
Love you, Kimberly!!
xoxo, Carrie
This video couldn't have been posted at a better time. I'm just starting out my adventure into creating my very first art journal. Thanks for all the great tips and kind of giving me an idea on first steps.
Great job!
When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.
I love the blog and podcast. I also purchased the book, "The Crafter's Devotional" the other day and decided to create art journal of the things I make. I'm also going to add things that gives me a bountiful of inspiration. Using my digital camera a little more often to capture sparkles of inspiration as well. I guess if had anything I wanted to hear in your podcast, it would be dealing with obstacles that can intefere with creativity and getting in the way of life in general.
Kimberly,
I love reading your blog! All of your posts are so inspiring. Your "how to" videos are great! Keep up the good work! :)

They way you and your mom discussed layering of images in an art journal made me think of the Spanish artist Miro and his Constellations series. Initially, he used the blank pages of his sketchbook just to wipe off the excess paint on his brushes. He didn't apply the paint in a specific way, but just rubbed the color onto the paper at random. Much later, he went back and applied the linear, weblike drawings on top.
So, what I'm curious about would be to do something similar with an art journal in terms of his process: taking watercolor and just applying colors/forms that appeal to you at random and not making a painting, but making colorful marks in space almost at random. Then later, using that as a point of departure to let the page evolve by layering other images or ideas on it. I'm attracted to the idea of incorporating an artist's process into an art journal.
Here is a nice image/description of one of Miro's Constellations: http://www.moma.org/collection/object.php?object_id=33050
