i heart new york

my jaunt to nyc has been a total treat! since i needed to be here for today's gift show (buying for tranquil space's eco-fab boutique), i stopped in manhattan for a weekend of joie de vivre.

friday: arrive at 7pm, head straight to h&m with luggage in tow for quick eye candy fix, to loaned apartment on upper east side, head to 86th to purchase ticket for julie + julia (fab flick) and run across brown rice cuc + avocado sushi plus an h&m next to a barnes and noble. life is complete. home at 1am.

saturday: up at 9, piddle and leave apartment at noon, indulge in acai juice and organic mint tea en route on subway to yoga at jivamukti with teacher training partner nadi, accessory delight at forever 21 (sequined beanie, deux glittery eiffel tower necklace, earrings), browse shops along broadway in search for THE sandal (note photo: you'll see i settled on two versions of it), dinner with fellow tranquil space teacher danielle at republic (j'adore their noodle salad), anthropologie (LOVE their books - found my french life which is a must-have - and picked up a double flower headband - another must-have), more darting in and out of shops like a kid in a candy store before they closed, last hurrah at crumbs for a sprinkle-coated vanilla fix, indulged in union square while people watching, subway home, hit 40-minute foot massage before settling into bed. yum!

sunday: up at 7:57 in midst of divine dream. new york yoga teacher kristin leal was my wake up call for her 8:20 class. yummy class. now off to gift show to meet up with the studio's boutique manager marq for hours of perusing unique finds. more photos and eye candy to come. bus leaves at 11pm so i have another 12 hours in one of my most beloved cities! ooh la la.
