a fun read

i had to, really! i broke down in new york and hit two bookstores despite only having 1ish hour of free time. i've been eying lessons of a lipstick queen by poppy king for weeks, picking it up, putting it down. picking it up at the next book store and putting it down again. yesterday - after a severe lack of sleep, i decided i deserved to purchase it at that moment. began reading it on the train home and always enjoy hearing other ladies' entrepreneurial story. sometimes you just have to indulge even if your bookshelves are full of must-read-but-haven't-been-read-yet books! do you recognize the rationalization of a book buyer with a problem? anyone have information on a bibliophile support group?

mmmm...not really a bibliophile support group but Shelfari.com is a great place to find out what people are reading and their thoughts on the books they have. You can build up your own virtual bookshelf to share with everyone.

I don't know of a support group, but I can relate!
I buy some new books, but when I find them at used bookstores (the best!) and yard sales and such, then I have to purchase! At least we are never at a loss for something to read! I am thinking of adding a second bookshelf so I have more room!
:) I may have to pick up this one!

Thanks, Kimberly! I think I just added 7 more books to my Amazon wish list by clicking on that link. So many books, so little time.

um, additional confession. while searching for the link to share the book with you from amazon, i came across two other must-haves in the "people who purchased this have also purchased X" that i bought. yikes! i chalk it up to "market research" for my new book. again, rationalization!
