lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu

may all beings everywhere be happy and free.
may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life
contribute in some way
to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

my fave sanskrit saying post-jivamukti training. i shared it during the savvy self-care teleclass tonight and thought that all readers would enjoy it, especially on the anniversary of 9.11. sending you all much love and a reminder of the interconnectedness we all share.

The teleclass was terrific, Kimberly. Thanks for sharing your sage advice. And thanks for posting this quote - you rattled it off so quickly, I had to chance of copying it down!

Have a blissful day!

My daughter and I do a mindful meditation every night (it's part of our burgeoning Buddhist practice, well, hers and my coming around back to it...so disconnected from myself for so long...so weird...anyway), the mantra you cite is part of a much longer one we recite each night, or rather a variation of the one we read each night.

We had to alter it a bit (she's an only child), but it's still pretty functional for everybody.
