Credit where Credit is Due, Please!

"Dance me to the end of Love" was written and composed by Leonard Cohen, the Madeleine Peyroux version you list is a cover!!

There are many covers that I prefer that version to the original. I don't think saying she likes a song as a cover is discrediting Mr. Cohen at all.

I liked what you said about Eminem's song. He finds his way through my shuffle every so often. I can't stand a lot of the things he says, but his music has great beats (and sometimes he's funny) - I agree that "Lose Yourself" is an empowering song.

My playlist is so random! Wonder what you can tell about a person by looking at her iPod? Probably a lot. Here are my top 10 played list:
1. Homme - Brazilian Girls
2. Carey - Joni Mitchell
3. Big Time Sensuality - Bjork
4. Black Metallic - Catherine Wheel
5. More than This - Roxy Music
6. Reptile - The Church
7. Time is Running Out - Muse
8. Strip - Adam Ant
9. Peek-A-Boo - Siouxsie and the Banchees
10. Young Folks - Peter Bjorn and John

I make iTunes playlists as an outlet for emotions. I make a soundtrack to counter my mood and sometimes surprise myself with what songs I add in there! These are my all time favorite songs.... quite a variety:)

"Dream Girl" - Dave Matthews Band
"Better Together" - Jack Johnson
"Amie"- Pure Prarie Leauge
"Breakfast at Tiffany's (theme)" - Henry Mancini
"American Girl" - Tom Petty
"Maggie May" - Rod Stewart
"Moonlight Serenade" - Glenn Miller
"In My Life" - The Beatles
(forgive me for this one... it's out of character but I dare you to listen and not feel like a sex goddess)
"Buttons" - The Pussycat Dolls
"Born to Fly" - Sara Evans
"I Get a Kick Outta You" - Frank Sinatra
