happy new year deux: reflection, intention, action

today's workshop focused on reflecting, setting an intention, and taking action. i decided not to record it considering i was running around while teaching giving assists. i presumed my voice would not be captured so i thought i'd share the experience via blog in case you want to try this at home.

reflection: do p. 73 wheel of life exercise from hip tranquil chick. create 3 action steps for your 2 lowest ranked categories and write them in your journal.

intention: set an intention for 2007 and write it someplace where you will see it daily.

action: roll out your mat and choose a sequence from chapter 2 of hip tranquil chick or do a full practice such as get your yoga on.

conclusion: write yourself a letter to open on july 1, 2007 congratulating yourself on the actions you took in the first 6 months of the year to get you closer to your intention and who you want to become. this is a great way to affirm your intention.

voila! you're well on your way to a fabulous 2007.

I love the letter idea! I found an 8 week Ivengar yoga class that starts in Feb that I'm signing up to. I can't wait!

Hi Kim!

I just discovered your podcast. I have to confess I am not a yoga chick, but I LOVE listening to it. I work at a non profit, and today I spent my day doing a mailing - BORING. Luckily I had downloaded your broadcasts - so I had company all day. You gave me wonderful ideas, inspiration, and some grat websites/books to investigate! In other words you made my day!
